Dehradun, 19 Nov: UPES Faculty of Laptop Science, in collaboration with the Cyber Sentinel Society, and co-organised by ‘Runway’, efficiently concluded ‘Hard-War 2.0’, a prestigious worldwide {hardware} hackathon. Centred across the theme of “Rethinking Sustainability”, the second version of the hackathon served as a platform that celebrated the ingenious utility of {hardware} options to real-world challenges.
Onerous Struggle 2.0 witnessed the presence of Chief Visitor Dr Harish Chandra Karnatak, Scientist SG and Head, Geoweb Companies, IT & Distance Studying Division at Indian Institute of Distant Sensing, Dehradun. The occasion unfolded seamlessly by 4 distinct phases – registration, ideation, execution, and the grand finale, attracting entries from over 110 groups from instructional establishments throughout the globe. These dynamic groups brainstormed and conceptualised options to their chosen challenges, resulting in the highest 50 groups bringing their ingenious concepts to life by the creation of {hardware} prototypes through the execution part.
The grand finale witnessed the evaluations of the highest 20 groups by a distinguished jury panel together with Dr Prabhat Kumar, Professor, NIT Patna; Sanjay Sharma, CEO, Risk Guardians; Lakshay Gupta, SDE II at Ottonomy.io; and Dr Madhuben Sharma, UPES. Workforce Rym Grenergy, GD Goenka College, emerged because the winner, securing a reward of Rs 1,00,000. In the meantime, Workforce Bheema AI, Woxsen College, bagged the primary runner-up trophy, and Workforce Hackgirlz, NIT Rourkela, attained the 2nd runner-up place, securing prizes of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
Spotlighting the head of innovation and collaboration within the realm of expertise, Onerous Struggle 2.0 was sponsored by Coding Ninjas & Risk Guardians and supported by Digital Cyber Labs as schooling companions. Moreover, the establishment’s Innovation Council and Startup Uttarakhand served as ecosystem companions for the occasion.
